2 Replies and 2564 Views GPIO on the eXper Kit  2564  2 Started by  DarenYeo I need to be able to connect several discrete I/O and a few analog I/O lines to hardware devices. Has anyone done this using the eXper Kit I know there are GPIO lines available on the ext headers, but was wondering if it had been done before.

2 Replies and 2239 Views How to burn standalone apps into flash using U-Boot?  2239  2 Started by  oliver.nottrodt According to the topic "Getting started with BSL" the BSL applications can be written to flash and autostarted using U-boot. The application should start automatically instead off the linux kernel. I'm wondering which commands (mw, nand erase, nand write, ...) and values should be used the burn an application properly into flash. Are there any further/different steps when compiling compared to applications loaded into DDR via U-boot How can I save the linux and u-boot image before o...

3 Replies and 2193 Views Getting started with BSL  2193  3 Started by  oliver.nottrodt I trying getting started with the AM3517 eXperimenter kit. According to the documentation of the BSL-package one way to start with a small program is to interrupt the boot sequence and upload the raw file. I think that it shoud be possible to test a changed pin muxing for my own baseboard by editing \bsl\src\evmam35xx.c. Is it possible to update the device permanently going this way and autostart a program or do I have to go through the hole procedure described in http://processors.wiki.ti.com...

0 Replies and 1757 Views Simple Question  1757  0 Started by  Deleted User It has been many moons since I've programmed away from a conventional OS. So, I'm hoping this is a stupid question with a simple answer. Following all the instructions for the experimenter kit, I have successfully compiled, loaded, and run the test program within the BSL using the Codesourcery Lite package. What I am wondering is if there is a way to compile a program that can be run in the Linux kernel OS that comes preloaded on the SOM board IE I want to compile on my host machine, mo...

2 Replies and 2244 Views Board Support Library (BSL) v1.1  2244  2 Started by  Deleted User I notice that the current version (1.1) of the Board Support Library (BSL) is a corrupt .zip file. I have downloaded it several times. WinRAR, Windows7 and 7Zip all report it to be corrupt. I downloaded the previous version and it seems to be OK. I'd prefer to be using the latest. Can someone help I've tried both of these: http://support.logicpd.com/downloads/12 ... xx_BSL.zip http://support.logicpd.com/downloads/ar ... xx_BSL.zip
