2 Replies and 2475 Views AM1808 SOM M1 UBL and U-BOOT source  2475  2 Started by  Deleted User Hi, I bought AM1808 eXperimenter kit from Logic PD. The plan was to use this EVM as referenced one for my custom design. I made some tests with kit I bought and everything goes fine. Except AM1808, in my custom design I decide to use AM1806 TI Sitara processor. I don't need SPI and Ethernet Interface. Now my hardware is assembled and it is the time to boot UBL and U-BOOT. Because all components on custom board are the same as the components on AM1808 SOM M1 module (instead of UART debug port, I...

0 Replies and 1538 Views AM1808 silicon 2.0 does not boot with 2.6.33 Linux kernel  1538  0 Started by  Deleted User The AM1808/OMAP-L138 silicon of revision 2.0 does not boot with the Linux kernel code, why not A: The new revision boards were getting stuck in setup_arch() when the CPU ID is determined. There were accommodations in 2.6.33 for silicon revisions up to 1.1 but not for 2.0 as there are in 2.6.37. To account for this, Below is a patch for the following change: In kernel linux-2.6.33/arch/arm/mach-davinci/da850.c, add a definition to da850_id list which is needed for OMAP-L138 silicon revision ...
