I am currently holding the EVM with Micron discontinued  MT29F4G08AACWC:C chip on board. i got part from Micron with replacement  MT29F4G08ABADAWP:D. I started to load the part on the board and encountered write operation failed especially seeing bad block occurring in the nand. I can't figure out what is going on and hope to get some advise and i believe LOGICPD should facing the same problem as i am. As a result hope you can share with me the solution.

    1) Does this replacement requires any software changes?

    2) Any major parameter changes between this two part?

    Info:

    Oeprating system: Wince 6.0R3

    BSP:BSP_WINCE_ARM9_01_10_00

    hardware: AM1808 EVM kit

    Keng,

TI validated this hardware change for us in 2010.  At the time, they tested with the LinuxPSP/DaVinci-PSP-SDK-03.20.00.12.  Are you following the steps provided here:

    http://processors.wiki.ti...or_OMAP-L1/AM1x#NAND

If you are still encountering issues, we can work directly with you under a support contract to resolve your problems:
