View Display Settings 2855 6
Started by chad.grant
Because of the i.MX31 end of life we are trying to move to the DM3730 SOM-LV.
On the i.MX31 we used 'video-init 5 16', and those default settings worked great. No such luck with the DM3730, 'video-init 5 16' is close because I can see some of the right colors, but there is a lot of flicker and shadows.
I can use 'info video 5' command on the DM3730 (runnig LogicLoader 2.5.2) and I get:
Name: LQ036Q1DA01
Number: 3
Resolution: &nb...

Ethernet packet storm overloads CPU processor 3084 8
Started by Gary Baran
Our product which utilizes the MIMX31BSOMCR SOM will cease to function if the ethernet connection receives a broadcast or multicast packet storm. It would appear that the CPU becomes overloaded. This happens in both Lolo and also while running a WinCE 5.0 image. Is there any resolve for this issue

copy from one device to another unsuccessful 2987 2
Started by Oleg Kuryan
Dear support team,
I spent hours in trying to copy NAND FW from one device to another but with no success. The target device always stuck up.
I did it by LoLo comands:

dd if:/tftp/192.168.1.100\:NAND.raw of:/dev/nand0 count:130720 obs:528 ibs:528 seek:0 skip_bad:1;
On the console of target device I have output:

Dear support team,
I faced with error in NAND erase.

erasing nand: 100
Warning some of the blocks were not erased

Are i.MX31 Sources Available? 3255 1
Started by Deleted User
Hello,
We use the i.MX31 processor and need to make some changes to the vfp library settings. It must be IEEE-754 compliant and must generate the same results as 'normal' windows pc's for all kind of functions like Sin, cos, tan, exp, log.
Problems is that it seems that this setting must be changed in code and the library (most likely called 'vfp loader' must be re-compiled.
Are these sources available or is it possible to change the compliance settings without re-compiling the bsp

MC13783 watchdog reset 2337 0
Started by rishid
I am trying to use the external reset function of the IMX31 watchdog in combination with the MC13783 PMIC. I have been able to get the PMIC to trigger the system reset line low when the IMX watchdog times out. The problem I am having is the PMIC never releases the reset line to actually reset the entire system.
Anyone know how to get the PMIC to automatically restart the system when the WDI line goes low

iMX31 MBX chip usage 3056 3
Started by Badguy
Hello,
using 2.6.19.2 with the patching found here, you can use the MBX driver from PowerVR.
this will enable OpenGL graphics on the device.
I have been getting 2.6.38-rc2 going and its working well.
but, when I try to talk to the MBX chip I get nothing.
the only code I have found so far relevant is the mapping of the Peripheral remap register.
once I applied that code I now get different results from my reading of the registers.
but not the expected results, I believe there is some platfor...

What happened to part-write imx31 LoLo command? 2902 2
Started by ernperkins
I inherited the following SOM setup code that worked on an older version of LoLo :
erase /dev/nand0 B1 B256
part-add /dev/nand0 b 1 256
part-write /dev/nand0
LoLo version "2.4.12-IMX31_10 0001" doesn't understand the 'part-write" command. How do I write the partition so it remains after a power cycle
Thanks,
Ed Perkins

Yaffs Partition Corruption 2834 1
Started by Tim Hickenlooper
We have a system that uses WinCE 5.0 - and have several hundred system installed in the field. We have seen a number of these fail after 10 months in the field with what appears to be a corrupt yaffs partition. The unit will not boot up in the field, but when placed back on the development board with "q" held, it will boot to LoLo (2.4.01p). Doing an add-yaffs works, but when a mount is tried, the SOM hangs.
Anybody seen something like this I've been trying to get LogicPDs attent...

How to load Linux onto the i.MX31 LITE KIT 5026 36

We installed the i.MX31ADS BSP to a Linux server along with the patches to convert it over to the i.MX31 LiteKit. Everything seems to have been installed correctly. Right now the lite kit has the logic loader boot loader (LoLo) installed. I can power up the board talk to the boot loader just fine.

Adding Windows CE Error Reporting 2494 0
Started by chad.grant
I have added the "Windows CE Error Reporting" catalog items to our 5.0 i.MX31 OS design. From microsoft (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms939597.aspx) I see that the value dwNKDrWatsonSize needs to be set in the OEMInit function so that memory will be reserved for error reporting.
The only problem is that I can't find the source code for OEMInit in the platform code. I hoped that the value would already be set, but when I built the image none of the error reporting features...
